Shushmitha Rani.T is the lead Consultant Counselling Psychologist at Safe Space Health and Healing. She holds a Master’s degree in Applied Psychology specializing in counselling. She believes that therapy is less about fixing, and more about understanding creating a reflective space where individuals can pause, breathe and find meaning even within the parts of life that feel tangled or hard to name.

Drawn to the field by her genuine curiosity about how people think and make sense of their lives, over  time Shushmitha has come to see that every experience, even the painful ones, carries depth and wisdom. Her work is rooted in the belief that everyone deserves a space where they can feel seen, heard and understood as they move toward healing and wholeness.

To her therapy is not about quick answers but about reflection sitting with what is forming, giving space to what aches and rediscovering direction amidst the chaos. She helps clients reconnect with their emotions, make sense of their experiences and trust the quiet rhythm of becoming.

Throughout her school and college years, Shushmitha took on leadership responsibilities that shaped her into someone who values understanding, mindfulness and responsibility. Those early experiences taught her how to hold space for others and approach challenges with sensitivity, these qualities continue to guide her work as a therapist today.

Shushmitha enjoys engaging in sports like cricket and badminton,  finding joy and feeling refreshed. She is an amazing cook that enjoys experimenting with ingredients and flavors, and also great behind the wheels.

Shushmitha’s approach is integrative and human centered drawing from humanistic, existential and psychodynamic perspectives. She works primarily with young adults and adults navigating concerns related to identity, self worth, relationships, anxiety, and emotional overwhelm.

Grounded and mindful, she holds space for reflection and healing.
